How are your values helping you or hindering you from getting to the next level?

One of the main things that I am pushing for is to be able to get my education to the next level I want to be able to learn skills that will make me be more popular in the community of artists that work with make up. My core Is to have a good life where I can get my family in a better position and be that supporting system that they need. My values are the same as ET and is not that I am religious as I used to but I can say that when I was I was more guyed and I didn't do things that I do know. The 10 commitments are their for a reason and If you really put attention to them you can see that it don't talk about money or stuff is more of family and love. My values are helping me at this moment because I am getting the support that I need from my parents and doing my best to be successful. 

Making Improvements

This year was not really what I expected but I can't say that it was bad because it really wasn't we did all we could with the things we had and we where able to manage things. One of the best things that happened was that we were able to interact with actual people that didn't know anything about computers, when we went to San Margaret we got to speak to some people and show the what we know. Some things that can be improved is the things that we have we need more materials so that we can actually help out our community and give back to the people that are low income. I believe that the way I would make a more energized career pathway would be by being more relevant and knowing what I will be teaching them. Some skills that I know for a fact that we need for the computer pathway is being able to troubleshoot and not be lazy because its possible to find the problem. Also, patience because people tempt to get all mad and never get to the solution. One more thing make sure that we an ask for some donations to make this career pathway more better and fun. 

TGIM | CLIMBING THE CORPORATE LADDER

I like this video a lot because it reminded me off that one person that was letting everything just got until they looked for a change and keep on wanting to make a change for life. Things get to you only when you are ready for it and when your done playing and is ready to make that risk of making it change. In time you will fail but you got to get  back up because you can and everything is possible if you want to. To get where you want you have to have passion and energy. Making connections make you get to a places that can guide you to success and more doors open.

My Success

I have learned a lot this passing year. One thing that I will never forget about this year is learning about the hardware from a computer and all the different parts that help it run as it does when It's on. One thing that I have done that was interesting this pass year in education is when we when to LMS and talk to at risk students I was happy because no matter what I been trough theirs other kid going trough it and it made me reflect in how much I have changed in this pass two years being here at youth build it changed my way of seeing life and it made me want more for my self and my family. Something that I would say about enrolling tin this school is that if your ready for change trust you will get change but in order to make that change you have to want it and stop everything your doing that's bringing you down because if you don't it will really bring you down and it won't let you be successful in life. Also don't hesitated to ask for help because staff are here for that and that YOUTH BUILD Is a different place with a special environment that will help you keep moving forward.  I can say that yes I am going to miss everything from youth build but it's time for me to move forward in my life because that's all they want for us to keep moving forward. I won't feel that bad because I will make sure of coming and saying hi to people that are here making a change for there life. 

Honor your craft

I want to be able to build my own business because I want to make sure I am capable of anything. My goals because I spend time on wanting and looking for things to help me build my skills. Honor your craft point is important because you want it and keep it moving. The value in covenant is that you get things out of what you want to do. I can give back to people and make a change. Yes I do want to. Yes because that will help me on my future. I will work hard to accomplish my work. I am a 120% I am ready for the real world. 

Have Heart and Count the COST $$$$

In this time in life I have a lot of dreams but my main one is to get in Michael Vincent ACADEMY BEAUTY INSTITUTE. My goals are to get over high school already and graduate so that I can move on in life and go get my education inc make up. I must have a job already in order for me to finish my education. Right now I am trying my hardest to get my DACA to be able to get a job so I can pay my education. I have things at home that  are making push back but I don't let them because I know I can do it. I don't have friends for the same reason that I don't want to be pulled back. Yes I am supporting my dreams and goals because I need my education because its important for my future. I do because I have a passion on what I want and I have been working towards that since I found out I have a passion on make up.  Yes I want my dreams and goals because its important for me. Life is full of tests that will keep you down to having your dreams but you need to make sure you are ready for it. 

Screep Writting

5 tips that the lady gave us was 

1. Preparation - Who are your audience? What do you want them to think, feel, do? Have pictures, videos, or a power point. Also having a key message that you want your audience to keep. 
2. Personal experience 3-4 examples 
3. Getting started - Engage and grab audience. Opening. use simple language 
4. Read out loud 
5. Structure - Problem, Analysis, Solution, Benefit. Its like having a beginning, Middle and End. 
6. Practice makes perfect 

 What you need to do first is know What You going to talk about. In order for you to know whats going on. Having Visuals is pretty interesting because being able to use let people not only listen but seeing what you talking bout can help you get your point cross. Me personally I like having presentations that involve other people.

I could say that I enjoy this more than anything because I love make up and I have a passion for it and just this girl makes everything much better and well other than that I can say its pretty good. This girl also has a passion towards her make up and so do I . 

 

Presentation Prep

Some of the key points that you should remember when giving a speech or a presentation are knowing your point and what you want the audience to take away from your speech or presentation. Another thing that I personally know is Tell a story but not any type if story a personal that involves the subject that your talking about. Theirs for when having this you will be able to involve your audience and have humor so that you won't be boring the whole time and have an audience that don't want to listen to you no more. Also, have a foundation phrase. The way you look is always important because you want to look the best as you can to leave a good impression in the people that are their to listen to you.  The power of story telling is to let people know that you have pass trough some situations like that. 10 words is the maximum for your main point.  One thing we need to know is our point and our goals what are we going their for and what we wanna do to help those who need that type of help. 

My dream company/ business

Being able to make a company that can have workers that love to give back to the people that around the community and that don't have time to get ready or just don't know how to get ready for like a date,concert, or a job interviews. I want to be able to make people feel better and feel like that are able to over come what people have to say that they can wear what ever they want. I have always had a passion of being able to get people and be able to do their make up and dressed them up. I have seen this at my house how my mother or the other girls that are their at the house how they need to take so long just to get ready to go out do to the fact that they don't know what to wear or what to looks good on them. Some girls have their self-esteem down do to people around making them feel bad or making them feel like they ain't worth it and I can speak upon that  because that was me at one point in my life I never thought that I could be something better and show how much I love my body no matter what people say. I might have some competition but by knowing whats my mission and why am doing what I do that's whats going to make me keep moving forward. i won't let things get to me as they would if I didn't know how to take things. I would say in money wise I would expect at least for the start 7,000. Second yeah like 10,000 as in for the third year I would expect 17,000. I know that if I set my mind to getting a certain amount every year I will be able to make it. In order for my business not to fail I would have to make sure I am choosing a good place to start a business and not have as much competition as when your around people that have and are giving the same attention that you will. Also the fact that I need to make the people feel conferrable because if your clients don't like it they won't be back and you can be loosing money and people.  I will make this happen one day but it will happen. 

Decisions

I have made a lot of decisions to make a change in my life because I know that if I wouldn't of had I was ever going to get no where or make a step for my life and my success. Yes I am satisfied with my decisions that I am making because I have been doing things that where never going to get me no where till this day I am glad I have done something to change things. I need to look for jobs and start working in order for me to get things and get somewhere and get cash for my education. If CCEO Youth Build was not here I would of never made a step to my life and had made a change in my life. I am deciding to be somethings important for my life to give my family back.  I am glad that I made a change in to my life because if I wouldn't I would have never taken a step towards my success. I learned things that have changed my life I know for a fact that failure is part of my success.

The Final Stretch

Over time I have been trying to build up my self so that I can get to my success. It has not been easy, I have learned a lot from all the things that I been trough all my ups and downs. I was involved with drugs and that was messing me up in school always ditching and never attending class as you can see I was not getting credits and was not on track to graduation. I got introduced to this school called CCEO YouthBuild and it made me realize that I care a lot about my education that I want to make things better for me and be a leader and good example to my brothers because I want them to know that everything is possible if you put in the work in it. I ain't trying to give up because they are the ones that push me to keep going on in life. I´m proud of the choices that I been making and how easy it was to change the way I was thinking. I see  my self graduating and making my parents happy and proud of me. Everything matters because as I said I have brothers that are looking at me and any mistake I make they will follow. The way teachers changed from all the period of time here is a good feeling because I was able to be and know people that where able to help me with my work. The way we talk to the new students and show them how Youth build works and how they need to respect this place I call home. I love the teachers from here they have been a big support to me and my future.

If I had an hour

If I had an Hour to talk to the president I would talk to him about my people. I know that we have a bill of rights and branches and laws that we respect. I know that theirs ways that we can get money to pay dept and get more money. I just want to say that students need that money and to find corporations that help students get things done and get more careers. I would want him to comprehend that theirs things that can  be done to make schools better and that they need more support to get things done. Theirs student that need more help than others and that something that they need to know. Also a big one is learning how to use their money wisely with student. I think this is the main things I would talk about with him.

Describe a time you failed and learned from it and how did you think about failure?

One time that I seen that I have had been hopeless and felt that I failed was when my parents found out that I used drugs. I never wanted to tell my parents I smoked and that it was becoming a habit. I can say it was a day where I just didn't want them to know and I felt like I had let them down. My parents always give me everything but their was things that I was going trough in some times that I didn't think about my actions. I haven't stop at this moment of life because I use it just so that I can sleep because I can't sleep in the nights and that helps me just relax. I just think that I keep failing my parents over time but as I get older I learn different things. I think that failure comes in different ways. I also know that some people learn from some of those failures but some don't. Its all about how you see it and deal with it.  

This week

One thing that I remember about last week was that I am really good in doing my work and that if I set my mind to anything I can do it. Another thing that I learned was that i'm almost done with credits so i'm in a row. Also, I remember that I got to learn how to find Independent Clause, Fragment, Complete Predicate, Subject, and verb. This was for English and it was pretty easy. Honestly I feel pretty good I got everything under control I been on task doing my work for government. It's kinda weird because they changed my scheduled I don't have PE no more but since I only need one more week in Sarah  class I would be done with my us Government. My expectations for this week is that we get more into Apps and start making them. Other thing is that we go to filed trips. Finally I want to get into our pot luck because we need to get together as one in class.

Quit is not in my vocabulary

No  that is not all I got!!! Yes I am giving my all in class for me to be able to graduate in time. Yes I am doing all I need to do. I'm even doing extra work so that I can graduate with good grades. Yes I have been doing my finals and putting in work like I did a presentation things I don't like doing with a power point. Thing that the teacher didn't ask for but I still did it. I could give my 120% and show that I enjoy being their and helping people even if I don't because that's going to take me to where I want to be in my long run life. I think that this means that when you give your all to your dream you ain't going to give up easy that  no matter what you are going to do all it takes to get to where you want to. Yeah they maybe some things that are going to set you down from doing good but you have to learn to let them go because they can over come you when you least expecting them. For me I haven't given up on school, I haven't gotten self-selected 2 in my 2 years I have been int this school so other than that I keep striking for the best because I know how it is.

  

Legacy

What drives him is the fact that he wants to leave a legacy and that he wants to show people that he was able to get to where he wanted to get because he is capable of doing the things that people told him he was not going to be able to do. Like the guy from jail told him he was going to be one of the guys that would end up in jail and he when back ant proved him wrong that he was wrong in his conception of him. I plan to be their for them and do the things that will show them that it's okay to do because sometimes we fail and those are the things that make us grow stronger and shows us how reality is but it all has to be done by actually wanting to learned from them mistakes. I plan to leave a legacy that is willing to try the things that are hard and that people call hard because those things ain't hard till you actually try and you give it a try and actually you realize that ain't hard if you put in the  time. It's all you to actually want to get somewhere because no one all's is going to be doing the work for you. It takes time and that time is the time you have to put in. Like the brothers said what you put in it is what you get out. This is a big impact to me because I am doing whats in my hand to give all the things I am capable of giving in this world. So that people can see that I am coming from the bottom and that i'm getting out from the hole that i'm in because I want to better my self as a person. Also, just the fact that I want my brothers to look up to me and see that I can do it so they can. I want to be the first to go to college and show them that It's doable nothing in this world is hard.

What I think about this video was that it was a good way of seeing life and the way that you commit yourself to things an how yous act in them circumstances. I could say that it was touching in the fact that he said what had happened in 7/11  how their where people running out of the situation to get to safety and the fact the theirs people like firefighters trying to risk their life for other people  because they are committed to their job. In my case I would say that I want to be committed to getting all my credits I need in order for me to be able to graduate and keep growing with my education. I need to get all my work done and not only that make time to my education in order for me to be able to get all the credits I need. Like he said be committed and don't make excuses to things because you made that choice and if you want to be able to get in something that will be or say you have accomplished what you want in life you will be doing everything you had said you will do to get to your goals in life.

In a way I do want to be rich but then again I don't because their are things you can do to a certain extreme 

And well I think I would want to be happy and so so rich to the point i'm able to maintain my self .

I think that if I would of been in that situation I would of had fired him. The way that she dealt  with it was different and that she gave him a second chance to prove him self that he was capable of doing hi work with no problem. He took his chance and didn't took it for granted.

I actually wouldn't have given him a second chance because you mess up once how do I know you won't do it again.

No I actually don't I haven't done it maybe that's why I am how I am.

I actually have I been coming to school to get over with my education and step to the real world but then again it's hard it all takes time.

I wish I was able to forgive people that have hurt me because I tempt to keep those things and I don't know or haven't figure out how to deal with certain situations. 

Deal with it

Its funny because I actually had a similar occasion like ET. I had not talked to my real father for the longest and well till this pass 3 months I have been talking to him. I was scared that my dad didn't want to talk to me because I was a forgotten child that he has and never took care of. I took the step up and I looked to him and it was funny because he was looking for me to but never was able to really reach out to me because I was always in school or to busy doing other things. I had o much anger towards him but I had to forgive him because my parents were to young and it took the courage for my mother to actually step up to the game. I couldn't keep hating him because it was affecting me even if I said it didn't it was. I was ashamed of being me. It helped me because I wasn't a lone I always had my step dad that back me up with any decision that I made in life. I felt re leave when I let go of all that anger because it was affecting me in so many ways like in school and with family. It has made my life different and not only that I don't have that anger with me and because of that I love my family more than I ever did. The barriers that it has broken is the fact that I ain't ashamed of opening up to my dad and letting him in my life once again. It has made me realize that no matter what people say about me to look for them problems and make a solution to them so that I wont be so stressed out and letting it be come part of my life that will affect my success.
